Longtime conservative leader, 2014 U.S. Senate nominee, and 2017 Republican candidate for governor Ed Gillespie launched a new web ad Wednesday. The video, which will run across the campaign’s digital platforms, features Virginians talking about their concerns, vision for the future, and why they support Gillespie.
Speaking about the ad, Gillespie said, “I am sharing my conservative policies with Virginians in every corner of the Commonwealth, policies that will get our economy growing again, and I’m humbled by the support I’m receiving. From Bristol to Norfolk, Virginians have told me they want to see a bold plan to put us on the right path. I am grateful to the many Virginians who have shared with me their vision for our future and look forward to continuing to put forward substantive policies to make life better for all Virginians.”

Ad Transcript:
Tony Pham: As a father I’m concerned with the opportunities my children are going to have. I think the last four years we’ve been definitely moving in the wrong direction.
Audrey Jackson: What worries me about what we are seeing in Virginia right now is how we go from a state who was strong for business, for economic development, for job creation to one of the worst states in the country. With the leadership that we have in Richmond right now we’re just not seeing that.
Benjamin Dessart: I think Virginia is dying for real conservative leadership. In the past four years we’ve seen what liberal policies can do. We need somebody that is interested in making Virginia grow and develop.
Senator Siobhan Dunnavant: We can do a lot better. Ed Gillespie is ready to change the system from the inside out.
Terone Green: Ed Gillespie is trying to be a leader for every part of Virginia. He will be inclusive.
Sheriff Danny Diggs: Ed Gillespie will put Virginia first.
Jackson: Ed Gillespie will give options to parents so that they can choose where their children go to school.
Pham: Ed Gillespie is the individual that is going to be able to lead Virginia back to where we need to be.
Dunnavant: He’s genuinely interested in making government small and efficient.
Jackson: He’s really shown that he’s a true conservative. Ed Gillespie will be the pro-life governor that we need.
Diggs: I’m a very strong supporter of the Second Amendment, and I know that Ed is right there beside me on this issue.
Captain Jack Curtis: I’m supporting Ed because when you hear him talk about veterans you can tell that it’s really important to him that veterans get the care and benefits that they’ve earned.
Dessart: We need somebody like Ed Gillespie that will go in there and lower taxes and bring jobs back to Virginia.
Sheriff Karl Leonard: I think it’s time to have fresh leadership in Virginia. I think it’s time to have a governor who is compassionate about the Commonwealth and its people.
Ed Gillespie: I believe Virginians are ready to embrace a big plan. We’ve got to revamp all of it if we’re going to get back on track. Otherwise, we are going to stay stuck. If I’m entrusted with the governorship of the Commonwealth we love, I’ll be an honest, ethical, principled, hard-working servant leader. If we get the right policies in place, it’ll be like a rocket ship. We should be number one on the list of best states to do business again. Our next generation will continue to do better than the generation that came before us.
