Longtime conservative leader, 2014 U.S. Senate nominee, and 2017 Republican candidate for governor Ed Gillespie congratulated John Adams Friday for securing the Republican Party’s nomination for Attorney General.
“Congratulations to John and his team for securing the Republican nomination for Attorney General. John is a good man, conservative champion, and excellent attorney. He is committed to defending the law and Constitution of our Commonwealth, as well as our conservative principles.
“I commend Chuck Smith for his willingness to serve. I enjoyed being with Chuck at events and forums across Virginia over the past six months.
“I intend to be running with John as part of a unified Republican ticket this fall. Together with the Republican nominee for Lieutenant Governor, we’ll put forward a conservative governing vision that Virginians can rally around.
