Ed Gillespie announces statewide campaign staff hires

RICHMOND, VA – Longtime conservative leader, 2014 U.S. Senate candidate and 2017 candidate for Governor Ed Gillespie announced a number of statewide campaign staff hires Monday. The campaign will have more than a dozen staffers in place when Gillespie formally kicks off his campaign in January, including a full-time policy team and three regional field directors.

“We are building a statewide campaign from the very beginning, assembling a strong team of young and talented professionals who are committed to the principles and policies that I will campaign on in 2017,” said Gillespie. “While we will continue to scale up as the campaign moves forward, I am excited to announce the team we’ve built so far. Over the next several weeks, together we will continue to lay the groundwork for a substantive campaign that offers a positive vision for our Commonwealth’s future, a real plan to get us growing again and engages a broad and diverse coalition of Virginians.”
