WHERE WAS ED?
It was a busy week for Ed & Cathy – traveling from one side of the Commonwealth to the other in a matter of days!
- Ed kicked off the week in Hampton Roads and visited businesses – Vista Graphics, Inc. and GEICO’s Virginia Beach Headquarters.
- The kitchen table conversation tour continued – long-time Norfolk activists Pam and Bob Brown hosted Ed and members of the community in their home to discuss Ed’s “Cutting Taxes for ALL Virginians” Plan.
- On Tuesday morning Ed visited Yorktown Middle School. YMS houses the Boys & Girls Club of the Peninsula and York River Academy – one of nine public charter schools in Virginia.
- Ed joined the Grafton Kiwanis Club for lunch to discuss their many civic activities in the Yorktown area.
- York County Sheriff Danny Diggs and Poquoson City Councilman Thomas Cannella talked 2nd Amendment rights with Ed at the Lafayette Gun Club.
- The College Republican of the College of William & Mary hosted Ed for the Middle Resolution’s endorsement of Ed for governor!
- Ed finished up the day with another conversation about the Cutting Taxes for ALL Virginians Plan around the kitchen table in James City County.
- On Thursday Ed & Cathy kicked off a Southwest Virginia swing, starting in Lexington at Salerno Pizzeria with the Washington & Lee College Republicans and VMI Cadets.
- Joe McNamara hosted Ed & Cathy for another kitchen table conversation to chat about the impact of a tax cut on the Roanoke region.
- Virginia Bio and Polymer Solutions, Inc. invited Ed to participate in a roundtable discussion of the growing life sciences and biotechnology industry in the region.
- On Friday morning Ed & Cathy visited small businesses in Bristol and stopped for a cup of coffee at Blackbird Bakery!
- Ed & Cathy had breakfast with members of the Veterans for Ed Coalition at the Bristol Public Library.
- Next, they visited Strongwell, a major employer in the region and had lunch at an Abingdon classic, The Peppermill.
- Before leaving the great Southwest, Marcy Hernick hosted the last kitchen table conversation of Ed’s tax plan for the week at her home in Abingdon.
- Ed & Cathy finished up the day with many friends at Loudoun County Sheriff Mike Chapman’s annual event at Breaux Vineyards in Purcellville.
